"The interpersonal aspect makes the difference."

In the first five interviews in our Sibiu series, you learned from Tilo Ferrari why we have a central service organization in Transylvania. You also got to know Ada Tanase, Alexandra Dumitrescu, Christina Stanca and Anamaria Dragoș better. This series concludes with Irina Lister. As the coordinator of the member area, she primarily handles correspondence with our interim professionals, conducts onboarding interviews and prepares the managers' CVs for the automated creation of candidate dossiers. Her previous time in Germany benefits her in several ways: both professionally and linguistically. But read for yourself!
Dear Irina, please briefly introduce yourself and your job.
Irina Lister: I'm Irina Lister and I work as the Membership Area Coordinator at JobNexxt Services. I've been there from the very beginning - from equipping our office to training new colleagues. I didn't plan on doing this job one day. I'm actually a music and foreign language teacher. I studied English in Tübingen and lived in Stuttgart at the time. I loved my time in Germany, my heart is attached to this country - perhaps also because I met my current husband there. I was already working with data during my studies. At the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) - where my husband was also employed - I was involved in the migration of a CRM system. This experience in data management benefits me every day today.
How do you support our interim managers with your work?
IL: I primarily take care of the correspondence with the interim professionals in the pools of Deutsche Interim AG and Swiss Interim GmbH. Communication usually takes place in writing by email or via team chats. I also conduct onboarding meetings via video call. I also provide the interim managers with advice and support when they create their skills profiles or have general questions about the member area. In addition to these core tasks, I also support my colleagues when things go wrong. For example, I support them when they prepare the CVs of professionals for Matchmaker, our search engine.
Candidate dossiers are a new and exciting topic. When companies contact us with an inquiry, our consultants present them with three to five suitable candidates. To do this, we used to manually anonymize the CVs of the interim managers in terms of personal data. Recently, anonymization has been carried out by the system. For the best possible results, the underlying information must be of high quality and up-to-date. This applies in particular to data from CVs, including contact details and previous career stages: In what function, at what location and for how long has the person worked in a company? Education and training history is also important here. And, of course, a professional photo is required. Our job is to create a perfect working basis so that everything works on the system side and the output is convincing. Creating this basis involves a certain amount of effort, but it's worth it.
What do you particularly like about your job?
IL: I particularly like the onboarding meetings, although I've only been conducting them since January 2025. I usually deal with very experienced people who have a great deal of professional expertise. I have respect for this task, but then I realize time and again that the vast majority of the interim professionals I deal with are extremely nice. And despite their experience, they have questions that I can answer. I really enjoy being able to help people. I now really enjoy these conversations. And it's always the interpersonal aspect that makes the difference.
I also really appreciate the team here. We are all very different. Christina and I are spirited and always have something to say. Alexandra and Anamaria, on the other hand, are rather quiet and reserved. Ada is in the middle and keeps things running smoothly. I think it's because of our differences that we complement each other so well.

A private chat from the sewing box: What do you really want to experience before you retire one day?
IL: A difficult question. I have small and big goals. I would like to learn another foreign language and read a few more books. My husband and I also dream of exploring the world together with our two young children. We would like to drive through the Australian outback in a motorhome, from the east coast to the west coast. We could also imagine driving from coast to coast in a motorhome in the USA and Canada. Let's see where we end up first.
Dear Irina, thank you very much for the pleasant conversation and your openness.
