In the first two interviews in our Sibiu series, you have already learned from Tilo Ferrari why he decided to set up a central service organization in Transylvania. And you have already had the opportunity to get to know Ada Tanase, who set up this organization and has been running it for several years. Now we would like to introduce you to Alexandra Dumitrescu. She not only works as the coordinator of the members' area, but also looks after international brand companies as a translator and editor. She is also active as an artist at the weekend.
Dear Alexandra, please introduce yourself and your job briefly.
Alexandra Dumitrescu: My name is Alexandra Dumitrescu. I am 37 years old and have been working part-time for Jobnexxt since 2022. As coordinator of the member area, one of my main tasks is to prepare the CVs of new interim managers in such a way that they add value to Matchmaker, our search engine. After all, it is very important that the data in the system matches the CVs. I also update the CVs of the interim professionals for this purpose. To do this, I consult with them from time to time or research missing information. I really enjoy this detective work. Most recently, I supported our content team in preparing the website relaunch by preparing the content migrated from the old to the new content management system for publication.
In addition to this job, I work as a freelance translator and editor for companies such as Apple and Zalando. I localize their content for the Romanian market. I like to be creative, including as an artist at weekends. My partner and I show our video art and our installations in exhibition spaces such as galleries and artist run spaces.
On the weekends Alexandra Dumitrescu presents her video art and installations.

How do you support our interim managers with your work?
AD: The CVs that we present to companies for project inquiries are the first point of contact between interim managers on the one hand and potential clients on the other. The CVs must be well maintained and leave a good impression of the manager. You could say they are a kind of sales business card. By keeping the CVs up to date, I create the basis for the placement activities of our customer advisors. That's one side of my job.
I also translate the information from the CVs into skills, which in turn flow into Matchmaker. We often develop the skills profiles together - the managers and myself. Last but not least, I am the contact person for our interim professionals. If they have any questions about the member area or Matchmaker, I explain to them how the two systems work and interact. I also help some people to create and enter their competencies. So I take care of everything that has to do with CVs and competencies.
What do you particularly like about your job?
AD: I really like the team and the way we work together. I particularly appreciate the transparency, the fact that we communicate openly at all times and share information. The fact that I am always allowed to take on new tasks and do research ensures variety - which is also important to me. I like to develop and acquire new skills. I can do that here. Because I've already experienced the opposite, I appreciate our positive and informal working atmosphere all the more. Day in, day out.
A little chat from the private sewing box: What do you definitely want to experience before you retire at some point?
AD: I try to live as authentically as possible and enjoy life because I am aware of its fragility. I want to be present and experience as much as possible in the time I have. I want to travel, I want to get to know other countries and cultures. And I don't want to lead a self-centered life, I always want to think about others. Not just my friends and family, but everyone. I want to live the best life possible in harmony with myself and my environment. If I ever look back on my life and say "My life was and is good", I will be very happy.
Dear Alexandra, thank you very much for the interview and your valuable work.
