JobNexxt Services in Sibiu: "The colleagues there are indispensable for us."
on
As an interim management provider, we thrive on the high quality of our manager pool. The fact that the data and information about our accredited interim managers is always up-to-date and accurate is largely thanks to our colleagues at JobNexxt Services in Sibiu. In this interview, our CEO Tilo Ferrari explains how he ended up in this Romanian region rather by chance, what he particularly appreciates about Sibiu, how our local employees support us on a daily basis and why he is a convinced European.
Dear Tilo, you already told us about your last stay in Sibiu on LinkedIn. What exactly is JobNexxt Services all about?
Tilo Ferrari: That's right. I try to travel to Sibiu three times a year - most recently in July 2025. JobNexxt Services is a kind of internal service provider that supports both Deutsche Interim AG and Swiss Interim. Our colleagues in Sibiu primarily take care of everything to do with the administration of the member area. In addition to onboarding new interim managers, this also includes the ongoing maintenance and updating of CVs and skills. Our colleagues also provide first-level support and are always available to answer any questions our pool members may have. Personal contact is very important to us.
Our pool members repeatedly praise the professionalism of the support. What contribution does JobNexxt make to this?
TF: A very big one. Of course, it's our customer advisors who ultimately close the deals. But the work of our colleagues in Sibiu forms an indispensable basis for this. We must not forget: We have one of the largest manager pools in Germany. Well-maintained data is very, very important. Not only for our sales department, but also for Matchmaker, our self-developed search engine. The fact that we have set up an internal, scalable service organization in Sibiu benefits us in several ways. Instead of managing all these administrative processes decentrally in Germany and Switzerland, they are bundled centrally. The expertise that we have built up in Sibiu over the past few years flows back into both provider companies. This not only makes us more efficient. The costs of maintaining such a large pool are also lower. At the same time, the accredited managers benefit from the fact that they are supported in data maintenance and can turn to a competent contact person at any time. A win-win situation.
Why is JobNexxt Services actually based in Sibiu?
TF: Well, it was a coincidence that fortunately came about. I'm very open-minded, curious and adventurous. While others were hiking in the Alps, I was in the Carpathians, the longest mountain range in Romania, observing bears and wolves in the wild with an experienced wildlife guide. I like to travel to the more remote areas of Europe. That's how I came to Transylvania a few years ago. I got to know the people there, made contacts and really felt at home in Sibiu. So the idea was born. Over time, I came to appreciate the advantages of Sibiu. The city has a lot to offer culturally. it was the European Capital of Culture in 2007. A large international theater festival takes place every summer. Sibiu also has a lot to offer in terms of music and sport. During my last visit at the beginning of July, a beach volleyball court with stands for spectators was set up in the middle of the city. The theater festival had just finished. While it was being dismantled, preparations were being made for an international cycling race. There is simply always something going on.
But the people are the thing that keeps me going. Of course, it's a plus that there are many German speakers in Transylvania. The largest German community in Romania lives in Sibiu. But regardless of the language they speak, the people of Sibiu are incredibly friendly and warm. I always feel welcome. I particularly appreciate the reliability of our colleagues. The team around Ada Tanase is fully behind us and what they do for us. Their commitment and dedication are impressive. What was once an experiment has become a viable business model that proves itself every day. Looking back, I am very glad that I had the courage to take this step back then.
You are a convinced European.
TF: Yes, I am. I find it fascinating how Europe has developed over the last century. The continent as a whole is an important cultural and economic location, the core of which is based on freedom of movement. No matter where I travel in Europe: I always meet people who have roots in other European countries. That is both exciting and inspiring. Sometimes it doesn't even take a distance of 50 kilometers to hear different dialects. I myself am more or less an inter-European product - the son of a Swabian and an Italian. My mother spoke five languages and had acquaintances from many countries. The whole of Europe has always sat at our table - in a figurative sense. Contact with people whose mother tongue is different from my own has been normal for me since my earliest childhood. The diversity of people, languages and cultures is Europe's greatest asset. I am convinced of that.
Thank you very much for the interview, Tilo!
