In 2014, urgent restructuring projects and the simultaneous illness of the Head of Human Resources prompted Faurecia Innenraumsysteme GmbH to fill the position of Head of Human Resources and Change Management on an interim basis. The supplier to the automotive industry employs more than 750 people at five locations in Germany in the development of new interior systems for all OEMs in Germany and in an associated pilot plant. In this project, the interim manager was responsible for personnel management for all locations as well as advising on the restructuring. One project dealt with the reduction of the commercial team in the pilot plant. Due to new development processes directly linking the production plants to the development department, some of the employees were no longer needed. A second project dealt with the reduction of the development teams at the OEMs (customers) due to changes in order placement.
