More about the interim manager
Since 2010, the interim manager has worked as a managing director, plant and production manager in the automotive supply industry and in medium-sized manufacturing companies. With his effective crisis management, he has repeatedly brought ailing projects back on track within a very short time. The interim manager is also very experienced in planning production facilities and relocating sites. In all mandates, he draws on lean management and lean production methods to quickly deliver sustainable results.
In his most recent mandate, he managed the restructuring of a large production plant as interim managing director until May 2024 and, among other things, developed a cost improvement plan to process orders economically, launched a new generation of products on time and on budget and exceeded the restructuring's savings targets. Prior to this (2021/2022), the interim manager was responsible for the construction of a new plant in Eastern Europe from planning to series production as project manager for an automotive supplier. The mandate included the establishment of the national company, plant planning, personnel planning and recruitment as well as the start of production up to the successful ramp-up of production. in 2018, the interim manager took over the position of managing director at the Polish plant of a German group of companies in a crisis situation. He was able to significantly improve the automotive supplier's production in just four months. He also managed the relocation of production facilities from a German OEM to the Polish plant.
Excellent operations expert with a broad knowledge of manufacturing and finishing
The interim manager has an unusually broad knowledge of manufacturing and finishing in plastics, rubber, metal and glass. As an excellent operations specialist, he covers the value chain including interfaces to product development, purchasing and controlling. In addition to large-scale production, his expertise also includes order-related production with its high number of variants and quantity variance.
As a planner and factory manager, he always keeps an eye on the economic and sustainable flow of materials and value streams. To increase production efficiency, he consistently applies lean management methods such as value stream mapping, CIP, visual management and TPM. The conceptual manager, who is also a strong implementer, attaches great importance to comprehensible information and broad employee involvement.
