Sara Lee was already in the process of a business transfer when the interim manager joined, which involved concentrating on the coffee division and selling the Household and Bodycare divisions. Subsequently, this involved splitting up the companies, transferring the business processes and the employees concerned to the purchasing companies. In addition to managing the HR team, the focus of the assignment was on communication with the European Sara Lee Group headquarters in the Netherlands, with the three acquiring companies and, of course, primarily with the employees and works councils.
After the business transfers, the administrative area of the company was restructured. Both phases required the conclusion of a reconciliation of interests and social plan as well as transparent coordination with all parties involved.
Even tough decisions were communicated competently
The project was completed very successfully, which was demonstrated not least by the increase in market share of one of Sara Lee's main brands at the time (Dusch Das), which could still be observed during the transition. The feedback from the corporate side was consistently positive. Those involved praise the special communication skills, even when it comes to communicating tough decisions. They also highlighted the uncomplicated, practical and very professional approach.
