More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in operational excellence in the plastics processing industry. As an experienced production and plant manager, he has extensive technical expertise in manufacturing technologies such as injection molding, extrusion, extrusion blow molding, roto-molding, foaming and recycling. He has repeatedly and successfully contributed to making production processes more efficient and therefore more economical. The graduate engineer prefers to take on mandates as COO or plant and production manager in medium-sized companies. His work also focuses on project management tasks, such as setting up and relocating production sites and implementing complex production facilities.
In his most recent project (2022/2023), the interim manager successfully implemented the post-merger integration of a former family-run company into an international group. At the same time, he optimized production by introducing a KPI system, lean management and kaizen processes. Prior to that, he was project manager for the development of a cable production (greenfield project) at an automotive supplier in Germany (2021/2022). His activities ranged from site selection, planning and installation of the infrastructure to commissioning and the ramp-up of series production.
The interim manager has continuously expanded his expertise in operations management and operational excellence methods (lean, kaizen) as a CEO, managing director, plant manager and independent entrepreneur. He has repeatedly achieved sustainable cost reductions and increases in profitability through the optimization of operational company processes - both in international corporations and in family-run medium-sized companies.
The interim manager also knows very well from these activities that only cross-departmental cooperation and teamwork lead to success. To sustainably reduce costs and increase profitability, he involves specialist departments such as purchasing, logistics, production, industrial engineering, quality assurance and project management in finding solutions from the outset. Clients have already repeatedly sent him to suppliers to implement operational excellence there.
Thanks to his analytical approach, the interim manager recognizes weak points and potential very quickly and derives improvement targets from this. Thanks to his balanced and goal-oriented manner as well as his appreciative approach to teams, he is able to inspire them to work together to achieve their goals. His expertise in working with people from different cultural backgrounds is a key factor here.
