In order to maintain competitiveness, the management planned a major restructuring at the Höhr-Grenzhausen site at the end of 2014. As a result, a reconciliation of interests and redundancy plan had to be agreed with the works council.
The interim manager immediately drew up a detailed process and project plan. In addition to the legal details, this also included the communication channels with the works council, the employees and the outside world (press). He was also responsible for compiling the actual/target personnel costs with the controlling department and selecting the social criteria with the corresponding simulations in order to retain as many performance employees as possible.
After preliminary discussions with the works council, the HR interim manager swiftly drove the negotiations forward in order to reach an agreement quickly. At the same time, termination agreements were concluded very successfully. Within two months, an agreement
was reached with the works council that was in the interests of both the business and the works council. As a result, 73 redundancies for operational reasons were made with a high degree of legal certainty
