More about the interim manager
The interim manager brings a unique "Triple B competence" from banking, consulting and procurement to the optimization of purchasing processes. He is a banker, certified Scrum Master (SAFe) and holds a degree in Purchasing Management (BME). In his role as interim manager, he takes on management tasks in line functions and projects.
In his mandates, which focus on the financial services, IT and management consultancy sectors, the interim manager pursues the goal of increasing the added value of procurement. His strategic goals are to significantly increase positive value contributions and security of supply - and to reduce risks at the same time.
He successfully positions procurement as a valuable, valued and attractive business partner. "Make procurement sexy (again)!" is his credo. He strives to achieve this with the help of strategic restructuring, process optimization and transformative digitalization initiatives for all parties involved in the entire procurement value chain (source-to-contract).
After completing his business studies at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, he began a traineeship in sales at the specialist insurance institute Euler-Hermes. At the start of the new millennium, he switched to the management consultancy sector at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwC), which later became IBM Business Consulting Services. This was followed by various project assignments in different roles with changing strategic, organizational, process-related and technical focuses in the financial services industry.
After further external (Capco) and internal (Fidelity) consulting positions, the interim manager moved to DekaBank at the beginning of 2009 and, after several management positions, took over the management of the "Purchasing & Internal Services" department in 2015. In addition to restructuring central purchasing, the interim manager was also responsible for company-wide outsourcing management during this time. He also introduced robotic process automation (RPA) in operational purchasing and e-invoicing in invoice processing as a pilot project.
In mid-2020, he graduated as an interim executive from the European Business School (EBS) and took the step into self-employment. The interim manager had recognized that there was untapped potential, particularly in indirect purchasing (e.g. professional services or external workforce), which he could help to identify, analyse and leverage.
