More about the interim manager
The interim manager takes on vacancies or bottlenecks in sales, business development, product management and restructuring without a long lead time. He examines problems, analyses effects, defines qualitative and quantitative characteristics and derives a plan of action and results from this, which he implements and whose results he regularly reviews.
Thanks to his many years of professional and management experience, he quickly recognizes where he needs to start. He sees the pitfalls in strategic repositioning, market development and the acquisition of strategically relevant customers - and knows how to avoid them. In short: he analyzes the problem, defines the solution and implements it as quickly as possible.
The interim manager creates and develops product strategies and scenarios and monitors their implementation. As a project manager, he has repeatedly been responsible for global product strategies and market launches of new products. He helps to build sustainable product portfolios.
After completing his studies at Aalen University of Applied Sciences, the interim manager's first job was at Cleanpark GmbH. From there, he moved to Alfred Kärcher Vertriebs GmbH as the responsible Franchise Manager. As Head of Sales and Business Development, his focus was on market penetration and market entry into new business areas. He also built up key account management and established a new market development strategy - moving away from commodity to full-service provider.
He then became Head of Global Product Management, where he was responsible for the global product portfolio in the value stream and the introduction and implementation of a new platform strategy. This involved significantly reducing the number of variants and consistently implementing an O2C process.
In 2019, he took the step into self-employment. Since then, the interim manager has made his expertise available to start-ups and companies of all sizes.
In his mandates, the interim manager assumes that markets and framework conditions are (usually) not as the companies would like them to be. This makes it all the more important to know them precisely and to orient oneself to them. Business development and developments must always be approached from the market side. Precisely analyzing the current situation and deriving targeted measures from it creates an optimal cost-benefit ratio when opening up markets and developing products. It is also important to be vigilant: "If the market changes, we have to change too!" With all the risks, but above all the opportunities. Changing trends open up new opportunities in the development of business areas.
Respect, fairness and authenticity are key characteristics of the interim manager. They act according to the motto "challenge and encourage". They maintain open communication with clear and comprehensible objectives. They take responsibility and pass it on at the same time. In this way, they create trust and motivation among employees - and thus the basis for the best results.
