More about the interim manager

The interim manager specializes in controlling in corporate groups and medium-sized companies in industry. His main areas of expertise include operational and strategic controlling, the introduction and optimization of SAP and other ERP systems and the realignment of controlling units. As a qualified accountant, the interim manager also understands the details of complex issues in balance sheets and uses the results of his analyses to the benefit of his clients.

The expert has been working independently as an interim manager and management consultant since 2014. In his most recent mandates, he represented the technical interests of a medium-sized company as Program Manager Business during the conversion of its global SAP systems to international accounting in accordance with IFRS. Prior to this, he introduced a modern service controlling system in a family business and supported the planned retirement of the founding family from operational management. During the handover process to the previous second level, his expertise as a trained business coach came into play as he guided those involved into their new roles in individual and group coaching sessions.

Before becoming self-employed, the interim manager held management positions as Country Controller, Divisional Controller and Finance Director in international corporations such as Johnson Controls, Sanofi Aventis and Sandoz. In a career spanning more than 30 years, he has repeatedly built up and optimized subsidiaries and their finance and controlling departments - always in conjunction with the introduction or harmonization of ERP and management information systems.

Overseas assignments have taken him to Belgium, the UK, Russia, the Czech Republic and Austria, among others. During these assignments, which often lasted several years, he acquired a high level of intercultural competence. This puts the interim manager in a position to successfully motivate and lead the multinational teams typical of corporations and large SMEs.
