More about the interim manager
The interim manager describes himself as a logistics manager with a down-to-earth approach. He combines many years of experience as an executive with the major players in the logistics industry (UPS, Danzas, Dachser) with excellent operational skills and a pronounced hands-on mentality. The interim manager takes on mandates as COO or Managing Director as well as project assignments. In addition to the interim manager's management tasks, his particular strengths are supply chain analyses as well as the optimization, selection and evaluation of modes of transport and transport costs (air and sea freight as well as trucks).
The business graduate with an MBA (studies abroad in the USA) learned the logistics business at the leading companies in this industry. In his almost 30-year career, he has repeatedly managed branches, countries and regions as COO or Managing Director. Although he took on responsibility for results and personnel in his first positions, he has always remained close to the operational work.
One of the interim manager's particular successes is the optimization of supply chain logistics for a leading global manufacturer of elevator systems, resulting in cost savings of around 20 percent. During his time at Dachser, he also managed the introduction of new operational software for more than 1,000 employees in his region during day-to-day operations. The interim manager has particularly good industry knowledge in automotive (suppliers), chemicals, telecommunications hardware and spare parts logistics.
As a manager, the interim manager acts in a target- and team-oriented manner. He encourages and challenges. And always makes sure that the teams have a firm grasp of new processes even after their task has been completed.
