More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in the technical operation of complex industrial and technical building systems. His expertise covers the entire spectrum of industrial maintenance and facility management: from the tendering of plants and buildings to the design and optimization of processes and organization to the replacement or retrofitting of plants (retrofit).
With his approach, the expert creates sustainable added value for the operators of industrial plants and buildings. He pursues strategies that interlink the requirements and processes of the technical operation of plant and building technology across all areas. As an interdisciplinary manager with excellent communication skills, he is ideally placed to break down the silo mentality of specialist areas such as industrial maintenance, material flow technology, intralogistics, facility management, operational technology (OT), IT, legal and controlling. He has repeatedly succeeded in leveraging synergies, increasing plant availability and simultaneously creating legally compliant processes (operator responsibility).
Extensive project experience in e-commerce and at Deutsche Bahn
In his most recent projects, as Head of Facilities Engineering for the e-commerce company Zalando in 2022, the interim manager drove forward concepts for the use of simulations and "digital twins" as a means of optimizing throughput and condition monitoring/Industry 4.0 to stabilize plant availability in the long term. He also managed the plant and building operations of the logistics centers in Germany and abroad. As head of the specialist organization at Deutsche Bahn (DB Services), he was responsible for various technical trades in industrial and building technology.
In addition, the interim manager has special expertise in the design of operator models: from complete in-house services to complete service outsourcing, including the necessary service contracts.
The interim manager sees himself as a team player. He attaches great importance to supporting managers and employees in such a way that they develop and implement the necessary measures themselves. In this way, he ensures that the necessary skills are firmly anchored in the company.
