More about the interim manager

The focus of the interim manager is on performance optimization in purchasing, especially in the improvement of results, and the development of supply chain and purchasing processes as well as the associated organizations.

In addition to proven solution expertise in international programs, projects and interim mandates in international purchasing organizations of large companies to reduce material costs, optimize purchasing processes and further develop the purchasing organization, he offers broad project experience in performance optimization as part of the restructuring of medium-sized companies.

In his interim mandates and consulting projects, he sees the success factors of his work particularly in the improvement of cross-functional interaction between purchasing and internal and external interface partners. His experience shows, for example, that make-or-buy decisions, in which the stakeholders of the value creation stages are comprehensively consulted, sustainably improve competitiveness more than without cross-functional cooperation.

The manager combines entrepreneurial experience from setting up start-ups in the IT and medical technology sectors with the best practices that he has developed and implemented in more than 50 projects for international corporations and medium-sized companies as an interim manager and consultant.

He is also the managing director and liquidator of several small German holding companies and special purpose vehicles, most of which have an international shareholder base.

A clear objective is important to him in his mandates. He uses these goals to motivate the teams and interface partners to make a clear commitment. For him, recognizing the contribution of each individual in the team to the achievement of objectives is the decisive success factor, even in the case of constructive conflict management. He sees the balance between the demanded assumption of responsibility, accepted support and stringent control of goal achievement as the proven elements of successful leadership, even in difficult situations.
