More about the interim manager

The business graduate and finance expert is an entrepreneurial executive with a background as an employed managing director as well as his own start-up and entrepreneurial experience.

His main areas of expertise include the sale or acquisition of companies and parts of companies as well as carve-outs in the SME sector - particularly in the private equity, SME and start-up environment. He prefers to take on mandates as interim CFO in the SME private equity environment, in M&A processes and in financing and digitalization projects. A further field of activity is the restructuring and development of business models to increase corporate value.

The interim manager knows first-hand the content-related and human challenges in change processes, especially in private equity-led companies. For example, he played a key role in shaping the carve-out from a large family-owned group through the buy-and-build phase under the leadership of a German mid-market PE investor to the post-merger integration into a Chinese state-owned group as project manager of the sales processes, commercial manager and later as group CFO. He also worked for many years in positions of commercial responsibility in the extremely eventful and successful further development of a special machine manufacturer for aerospace technology.

One of the interim manager's strengths is his diversity: he creates stable, automated processes, sets up financial and controlling structures in Germany and abroad, stands for efficient controlling as well as solid and progressive financial management.

He also achieved proven success in his family's own company, where he automated and optimized the business model of the motel business. He increased the occupancy rate and revenue by 50 percent within a very short space of time. In another project, he is driving forward the waste-free organization and end-to-end digitalization of the value chain of an (electrical) trade business.

The interim manager uses his strong analytical skills to quickly analyse the situation, define solutions at short notice and implement them together with the finance and management team. He always has the big picture in mind and is able to motivate employees. He focuses on employee initiative and a human-friendly, goal- and results-oriented approach when implementing sustainable change.
