More about the interim manager

The interim manager is a business graduate with an MBA. As an interim CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) and in other management positions, he has specialized in the transformation and restructuring of procurement departments to "Champions League level". He is equipped with the methodological knowledge of a top management consultancy (A.T. Kearney) and project experience at more than 30 companies in a wide range of industries in Germany and abroad.

After studying business administration at the University of Cologne and Pennsylvania State University, he began his career as a district manager at Aldi Süd in Cologne and in Birmingham, England. He then moved to Vobis Microcomputer AG in Würselen as regional manager. After studying for an MBA at Cranfield University in England, he worked for six years as a management consultant for A.T. Kearney, where he specialized in purchasing optimization. Equipped with this methodological knowledge, he set up his own business in 2004 and initially worked on consultancy projects. Since 2011, he has focused on interim management.

In his interim projects, he quickly gains an overview of the maturity level of a procurement department based on methods and facts and figures. From this, he derives measures to gradually increase performance towards "Champions League level". Once a plan has been drawn up, he implements it consistently - even in the face of resistance.

The interim manager sees himself as a coach for his procurement team. He continuously develops each individual employee in their position. In doing so, he promotes interaction within and outside the purchasing department. He is not afraid to make clear recommendations for the search for new players if the performance of individual players is not sufficient for a top team. His management trainer training at Neuland & Partner and his business coaching training at Dr. Migge Seminare help him to do this.
