More about the interim manager
The interim manager is a proven expert in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and project management offices (PMO). One focus is on the optimization of corporate planning processes and the management-oriented preparation of reporting. Another focus is the organization and management of PMOs.
The interim manager prefers to take on mandates for the management and further development of controlling departments, the management of optimization projects in controlling and the management of project management offices in restructuring and transformation projects.
The interim manager combines international controlling experience with entrepreneurial thinking. He knows how to combine the perspectives of the specialist departments and controlling with those of the management. He has managed international projects across national borders and worked closely with local units, for example in England, France, Switzerland and South Africa. In doing so, he used his entrepreneurial initiative and expertise to overcome local concerns and translated the requirements of the corporate headquarters to create solutions that met the needs of the local companies.
The interim manager is an expert in data modelling and visualizing key figures. In addition to implementing lifecycle value models and simulation tools for sales and controlling units, he has repeatedly set up management-optimized reporting systems. In one of his most recent projects, he was able to set up the reporting for a new division of a mechanical engineering company within a very short space of time and integrate the business area into his employer's existing group planning processes. At the same time, the interim manager attached particular importance to the comparability of the new budget structure with the previous structure, so that year-on-year comparisons were also possible. In another project, he successfully demonstrated his leadership and project management skills during the restructuring of his employer MAN Truck & Bus, where the PMO he led for the international restructuring program ensured a sustainable improvement in the company's results.
Project organization, restructuring and transformation are usually accompanied by conflicts. This is where the interim manager offers his clients further added value. As a certified mediator, he is particularly well placed to act in a problem-solving manner in conflict situations. He can precisely identify the core issues of conflicts and moderate them in the interests of a forward-looking solution.
His pragmatic working style combines renewal and preservation. Employees, executives and management attest to the interim manager's constructive leadership and excellent results. From his international collaborations and time spent studying in Japan and China, the interim manager also has very good intercultural skills.
