More about the interim manager
The Interim Manager is an internationally experienced CIO and project manager for the introduction and optimization of ERP systems. He is a strategically thinking problem solver for the development of IT organizations and processes. As a long-standing ERP project manager, he focuses primarily on complex SAP, S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics NAV projects.
Most recently, for example, the interim manager led a strategic SAP S/4HANA pre-project and an SAP MDM implementation at an S-DAX company. Prior to that, he successfully managed a big-bang implementation of SAP (Greenfield) at seven German locations of a cable manufacturer as well as the development of an SAP template for a medium-sized company with subsequent rollout in four countries within two years.
One of the interim manager's main focuses is the development of IT strategies and their implementation as part of process and organizational development tasks. He reorganized an IT division and transformed a divisional IT organization into a global group structure and relocated over 30 IT services to best cost countries. At an IT service provider, he developed the functional structure into a process-oriented organizational structure for sustainable increases in efficiency. He also successfully introduced IT processes (ITIL, COBIT) and developed a global IT target application architecture to reduce costs and risks. He is able to use his strengths to good effect: Goal orientation, customer focus, structured analytics, openness and strong communication skills.
After completing a degree in mechanical engineering (specializing in computer science) and a subsequent doctorate in the field of factory simulation, his first career move was into management consulting. The implementation of SAP systems, particularly in medium-sized and internationally organized companies, has been an essential part of his work ever since.
In addition to managing ERP projects, he also took on leading roles in IT management. He was Head of IT at a manufacturer of semiconductors for several years and was most recently responsible for the global application landscape as Vice President at an automotive supplier. He managed employees in Europe, North Africa, China and America.
