More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an entrepreneurial expert for growth and operational excellence in the international printing and packaging industry. One of his particular strengths is his ability to understand complex requirements comprehensively and to design the appropriate production processes efficiently and cost-effectively from start to finish. This also enables him to quickly take innovative products and processes from the initial idea to high-quality production. His spectrum ranges from operational excellence and production optimization to plant expansion, the merging of sites and special situations such as crises and turnarounds. The expert is usually mandated as COO, CTO or plant manager.
Increasing efficiency and reducing costs in the packaging and printing industry
Since starting out on his own (2016), the interim manager and consultant has successfully completed various mandates with particularly challenging tasks in the packaging sector. For example, as a consultant and project manager for an international group of companies, he played a key role in reliably meeting the particularly high requirements of premium packaging while significantly reducing production costs. In another mandate (2019/2020), he was responsible as interim operations manager for the introduction of new technologies and the validation of high-tech projects, among other things. From 2017 to 2019, he merged two sites of a Swiss packaging company with almost 200 employees and a turnover of 46 million euros into one site.
The interim manager has been self-employed since 2016. Prior to that, he was plant manager and authorized signatory at a leading provider of recycled cardboard and packaging solutions, as well as plant manager and technical manager. He knows the packaging industry in Germany and Europe in all its facets.
As an experienced manager, technical business economist and trained offset printer, the interim manager is very familiar with all stages of value creation and production. This puts him in a position to quickly identify weak points and find solutions. He understands the requirements of the management and at the same time speaks the language of the store floor. In any case, he considers successful communication at all levels to be one of the key criteria for successfully achieving operational excellence. Because without the commitment and willingness to change of those involved, even the best methods will not lead to the goal. Accordingly, he involves the teams in finding solutions as early as possible. His leadership culture is engaging and motivating.
