More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in the optimization of production and value creation processes with particular industry experience in the automotive industry and mechanical engineering. He also focuses on crisis situations such as plant closures and production relocations. The expert is usually mandated as an interim plant manager or for comparable roles.
In his most recent project, he increased EBIT in a plant (electroplating) by 50 percent as interim plant manager. In another project (2021/2022), he succeeded in reducing the work in progress (WIP) by a mid-six-figure amount and halving rework and scrap costs - as well as the number of special trips. As part of a plant closure (2017/2018), he led a JIS plant to EOP. Through skillful negotiations, he managed to avoid the already planned conciliation committee procedure and conclude an innovative social plan regulation. He then led the plant out of Q-Help 2 status within seven months, reduced the sickness rate from 15% to an average of 4.2% and managed to prevent customer demolition until the plant was closed. in 2016/2017, he successfully stabilized the restart of two production lines for Mini and Porsche as Head of Assembly at an automotive supplier.
More than 30 years as an independent interim manager and consultant
The expert has been working independently as a consultant and interim manager since 1992. During this time, he has successfully completed more than 50 mandates and consulting projects. The expert's HR background is particularly advantageous in crisis situations such as plant closures and relocations: he has more than twelve years of experience as an HR specialist and HR manager as well as an extensive track record as a management trainer and organizational development consultant at companies such as BMW, Porsche and well-known suppliers. The interim manager was one of the few external consultants to be trained as an ERA consultant by the employers' association SüdwestMetall. In this role, he has supported numerous companies in various ERA collective bargaining areas, i.e. conducted negotiations with works councils, managers and company management, mediated conflicts and formulated company agreements.
