More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in quality management and quality assurance. His mandates are usually at the middle QM management level. Another focus is the introduction, maintenance or further development of integrated management systems. His expertise lies primarily in the evaluation of technical contexts. With experience from more than 20 companies (permanent positions and interim mandates), he is very well able to distinguish between essential and non-essential performance characteristics of a wide variety of products and processes, even in otherwise unfamiliar areas, and to derive tailor-made solutions.
The interim manager learned quality management from the ground up. His degree dissertation already dealt with the ISO 9001 and TS 16949 standards. In his first job in Wiesloch near Heidelberg, he was already a quality management representative (QMB) at an electronics company. He was later able to get to know the entire spectrum of QM/QA, for example as a quality engineer in production, advance quality planner and supplier developer.
The interim manager enjoys working for smaller companies just as much as for larger SMEs and corporations. As Global Head of Quality Assurance at Haselmeier, he was responsible for the quality of five production sites and two laboratories. At ZF in Radolfzell on Lake Constance, he impressed as Plant Quality Manager for a plant with more than 1,000 employees.
He draws his personal motivation from the changing challenges and constantly changing circumstances that are typical of interim mandates. The interim manager's trademark is dynamism. Personally, he is very present, approachable, communicative, emphatic and balanced in his decision-making.
The sustainability of the mandates is a personal concern for the interim manager. He is always focused on creating added value for the client through quality management. He checks methods, procedures and tools for up-to-dateness and efficiency. If action is required, he initiates updates.
The interim manager pursues the goal of bringing processes into smooth waters. In doing so, he attaches great importance to keeping the internal effort as low as possible. In his external presentation, he does not let customers know that an interim manager is currently in charge. Instead, he sees it as his role to provide customers with the contractually agreed products, services and information on time.
