More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in effectiveness and efficiency - particularly in the food and pharmaceutical industries. He significantly improves technical areas and increases productivity while sustainably reducing costs. The introduction and optimization of modern maintenance processes, standardization in materials management, automation and digitalization, occupational safety and the introduction of KPIs and key figures are just a small part of the skills in the manager's "toolbox".
Effectiveness and efficiency in the food and pharmaceutical industry
The expert has been an independent interim manager in the food and pharmaceutical industry since 2019. In his most recent role at a leading pharmaceutical company for the production of enteral nutrition in the Netherlands, he managed the construction of several new production lines abroad during the coronavirus pandemic and was a key driver of digitalization. Prior to this, he was Technical Director at two leading German food manufacturers. During this time, he restructured the technical organization and developed new maintenance strategies. He also initiated various cost-cutting programs in technology and production.
The interim manager offers his clients pragmatic, cutting-edge solutions. He is currently adding certification as a LEAN and SIX SIGMA expert to his extensive skills as a manager, business economist (IT and technical business economist) and master craftsman (electrical engineering).
Data is important, but the people in the company are more important
As an expert with a technical and digital background, the interim manager relies on the collection and interpretation of data to find the best solution. Direct information from operational work on the ground is at least as important to him. Due to his career and his pragmatic approach, he has a good connection to the employees in production. As an experienced manager, he knows that the success of change projects depends largely on everyone involved being convinced of the benefits and pulling together in the same direction.
In order to bring the people in the company along on this journey, he cultivates a communicative management style. He attaches great importance to proactively involving all employees across departments at an early stage, discussing ideas with the team, motivating the team and allowing them to share in the success. In this way, he succeeds in inspiring those around him and taking them along with him on new paths. His colleagues' successes are more important to him than his own. For the interim manager, a project is only successful if the employees are able to master the challenges sustainably after the end of the mandate.
