More about the interim manager
The interim manager is a specialist in the optimization of back office structures in the areas of finance and HR. His work focuses on the standardization and automation of processes, SAP S/4 HANA for Finance and the development and optimization of shared services. And he supports these transformations with professional change management and authentic communication. He has successfully initiated, designed and implemented international transformation projects in this segment. He also has particular expertise in the aviation and logistics sectors.
The interim manager is passionate about optimizing structures and processes. It motivates him to professionalize the finance department of his clients. He is convinced that finance can - and must be an essential value driver in companies. State-of-the-art finance processes and structures are indispensable prerequisites for the CFO to keep the company on course as a navigator.
The interim manager brings with him 20 years of experience as a manager in various corporations in the areas of finance and HR. He began his career at a major German airline. There he managed line organizations (as team leader and regional CFO) as well as projects of various sizes in Germany and abroad. He gained relevant IT experience through the project management of an S/4 HANA Central Finance implementation - a pilot project in cooperation with SAP. He also managed a global efficiency programme at a global logistics group, in which he structured and improved the purchasing of indirect materials, expanded the shared service area and professionalized the existing structures.
The interim manager is firmly convinced that leveraging potential for improvement must be a permanent task for every manager -, whether as a line or project manager. In addition, experience has reinforced the realization that every change for the better must be viewed holistically. When processes are changed, this always has an impact on the organization, on IT and ultimately on the employees. In his largest project - the introduction of a global business service organization - - this holistic approach also led to site closures in Germany. With his HR background, he was responsible for communication right through to negotiating the reconciliation of interests and the social plan with the works councils.
In addition to his high level of motivation and conviction, the interim manager is characterized above all by reliability. He always delivers project results on time and on budget. Intercultural experience from numerous assignments abroad, an authentic and honest demeanor and his experience in change management as an indispensable component of any transformation round off his profile.
