More about the interim manager
The interim manager offers his clients many years of experience as CFO and commercial manager in medium-sized, family-run pharmaceutical companies. His work focuses on the digitalization of commercial processes and project management in transformation phases (outsourcing, carve-outs, establishment of business units). As a Certified Management Accountant (IMA, USA), he also offers good knowledge of US GAAP as well as the development and expansion of treasury and financial planning.
In addition to his professional qualifications, the interim manager has a wealth of experience from numerous change projects, in which he has continuously developed his project management skills. He is particularly adept at successfully organizing the cross-divisional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders that is essential for successful transformation.
The business administration graduate has been self-employed as an interim manager since 2024. With his in-depth knowledge of the complex requirements of the life sciences business, he is particularly well suited to mandates in the pharmaceutical, medical technology and biotechnology sectors. Thanks to his extensive management experience and digitalization expertise, he is the ideal partner for medium-sized (family-owned) companies - both at the start of a digital transformation and when optimizing financial processes.
Experienced in the transformation and restructuring of medium-sized companies
Until September 2024, the interim manager led a team of 30 employees in controlling, accounting and treasury as the commercial director of an internationally active, family-owned German pharmaceutical company. Among other things, he drove forward key projects such as the digitalization of the P2P process, the professionalization of treasury management and the acquisition of a medium-sized pharmaceutical company. Prior to that (2020), he ensured the post-merger integration of commercial processes at a paint wholesaler with 49 locations and more than 3,000 shareholders. Until 2020, the interim manager was CFO of Mundipharma, a medium-sized family-owned German pharmaceutical company, for many years. As part of the transformation and restructuring, he played a key role as head of key projects in transforming the company from a research-based pharmaceutical company into an agile sales company for generic drugs and biosimilars - and increasing the operating margin by 80% with 75% fewer employees.
Interdisciplinary collaboration within the company forms the basis for sustainable success for the interim manager. He works in partnership, constructively and pragmatically with owners, management and external stakeholders. He leads and motivates his teams through active participation, great creative freedom and clear goals.
