More about the interim manager

The interim manager is an expert in the realignment and growth of companies in mechanical and plant engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration technology as well as in the chemical, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. He has also repeatedly acted as a troubleshooter, successfully leading companies out of crisis situations and into turnarounds. Clients of the economics and engineering graduate benefit from more than 25 years of experience in industry and top management consulting. The interim manager seeks mandates as interim CEO, interim COO or head of complex (international) projects in industry and SMEs.

In his most recent mandate (2022 to 2024), a global market leader in the manufacture of equipment and machinery (TGA, turnover of around six billion Swiss francs) initially engaged the interim manager as a troubleshooter in a project for the global rollout of a new SAP S/4HANA module. After a few weeks, he was promoted to head of the group-wide business, finance and IT program. This project was later recognized by the company management as a "Lighthouse Project 2023". In the previous mandate (2021), the expert initiated the realignment of a business unit with a turnover of around 90 million euros for a medium-sized automotive supplier. He realigned the business model by streamlining the range of products and services and addressing new market segments in terms of sales. He also pushed ahead with digitalization, streamlined the R&D project portfolio and introduced a cross-divisional product development process (PEP).

C-level executive at an international premium provider and a global market leader

Before becoming a self-employed interim manager, the expert had a long and successful career as Managing Director and COO/CTO of an international premium provider of precision air conditioning and refrigeration technology (turnover of 450 million euros) and a global market leader in the same segment (turnover of 650 million euros) - with responsibility for the entire international value creation network, including in China, the USA, Italy, India and Germany. He gained further international experience as a sales and project manager at the top management consultancy Management Engineers (today: Strategy&).

Clients and teams attest to the interim manager's outstanding professional expertise and convincing leadership style. With his proactive communication, he also makes a significant contribution to motivating teams to achieve exceptional performance - especially in challenging situations.
