More about the interim manager

The interim manager is an HR expert with experience in corporate groups and SMEs. The focus of his mandates is on reducing personnel costs. He also increases the efficiency of organizations and workforces through proactive performance management. Another building block is the introduction of feedback systems and a suitable corporate and leadership culture.

The expert has been self-employed as a consultant and HR interim manager since 2015. During this time, he has successfully completed eleven mandates in industry and SMEs. In his most recent mandates, for example, he reduced personnel costs by 20 percent at a medium-sized automotive supplier in 2022. A major contribution to this was the successful introduction of a four-day week - despite initial resistance from employee representatives and an investor. At the same company, he was also able to significantly increase productivity through targeted employee development. in 2021, he replaced the performance appraisal system with a feedback format focusing on personnel development in another mandate for an agile service provider.

Before becoming self-employed, the interim manager most recently led a service company with a good 20,000 employees as Managing Director of Human Resources and Organization at Deutsche Telekom. He also managed several projects for the Group on increasing efficiency, in-/outsourcing, working hours, remuneration and the further development of the HR organization.

Negotiation experience and innovative HR models are his trademark

One of the interim manager's strengths is his extensive negotiation experience. He also successfully finds and negotiates win-win solutions (based on the Harvard concept) with trade unions and works councils on difficult issues such as staff reductions, organizational changes and reductions in working hours. His portfolio also includes innovative approaches such as OKRs (Objective Key Results) and feedback models, which he has introduced in several companies.

The expert advises with a strong service mentality and leads according to the principles of transformational leadership. As a trained coach, he has a high level of moderation skills. He has internalized lifelong learning. In addition to his coaching training, he is interested in the effects of artificial intelligence on the labor market, HR work and skills (certificate "Elements of AI" from the University of Helsinki) and has mastered agile methods (Certified Kanban Practitioner).

Thanks to his high level of expertise and his convincing manner, he moves confidently at all levels, whether in discussions with employees, works councils, executives, top management and shareholders. His clients appreciate his entrepreneurial view, his quick results and his open, hands-on and humorous manner.
