More about the interim manager

The interim manager supports German and European companies in successfully developing their business in North America. The American-based business executive regularly takes on mandates as managing director, CEO or sales manager in US branches of his clients or builds up such locations or divisions. His core competencies lie in advising and providing operational support to German medium-sized manufacturing companies expanding into the North American economic area and optimizing existing production and sales branches.

In one of his most recent mandates, the interim manager expanded the international supply chain (China, Europe, USA) for special products for a German refrigeration, gas and environmental technology company at the end of 2021. He also identified suitable partners for transportation and storage. in 2020/2021, he was interim CEO of the US branch of a German manufacturer of heating and control technology during the coronavirus pandemic. The restructuring of the North American organization led the company back to profitability. Prior to this, he took over the temporary management of the US branch of a German manufacturer of industrial PCs at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. During this time, he managed to stabilize the company's turnover, also by coaching the sales team in Salesforce.

German-American expert delivers tailor-made solutions

Since the turn of the millennium, the expert has been using his skills for European companies in the USA. He has been working as an independent consultant and interim manager since 2014. During this time, he has successfully completed almost 20 assignments as a C-level executive, project manager or consultant. His clients have almost always been German companies looking to enter the North American market or facing challenges in their American subsidiaries.

His personal and professional experience in the USA and German-speaking Europe makes the interim manager predestined for transatlantic challenges. His particularly deep understanding of "how to do business" on both sides of the Atlantic makes him a true bridge builder between cultures. His clients benefit in particular from his in-depth knowledge of the technical, economic, tax, legal and cultural peculiarities in North America. His experience as a mediator provides a further building block for his ability to bring about an amicable and economically advantageous solution, particularly in complex and conflict-laden situations.

The interim manager cultivates an engaging - and American optimistic - inclusive management style that motivates both managers and employees. He uses his open and transparent communication - in both languages at native speaker level - to build lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, employees and stakeholders. He also has an extensive network in the USA and Canada, which he likes to use to the advantage of his clients.

Family and professionally, the interim manager is at home on both sides of the Atlantic. With typical American flexibility, he is prepared to travel to any location in the USA and Germany for several months at a time.
