More about the interim manager

The interim manager is a specialist in internal auditing with corporate experience. He is particularly adept at designing and setting up internal audit departments from scratch and anchoring them in the company. Thanks to his extensive knowledge, he is also able to further develop and modernize existing control systems and processes at any time.

In his most recent mandate, the expert completely set up the internal audit department at an engineering service provider in Berlin (8,000 employees, one billion euros in sales) within a few months and then successfully transferred it to regular operations.

The interim manager gained his experience in corporate auditing at Deutsche Telekom, including as Vice President IT Audit and Head of Business Audits. At T-Systems International, he was in charge of process management and successfully managed internal IT development. During this time, he led a global program that successfully implemented a new process and IT target architecture for T-Systems. As Chairman of the Audit Committee of T-Systems South Africa, he was previously responsible for the local internal control system for five years and successfully established a new compliance and risk management system in this difficult local business environment.

As Head of Audit, he is committed to the further development and safeguarding of the company. The continuous development of auditing processes and methods is very important to him. At Deutsche Telekom's Internal Audit department, he has repeatedly succeeded in rebuilding or realigning audit areas and further developing audit processes such as auditing and audit planning.

The interim manager's working style is characterized by his strong communication skills and his aplomb as a solution-oriented strategic consultant - up to Group Management Board level. His clients and employers valued him as a pragmatic analyst with entrepreneurial vision. He was regarded by his teams as an integrative motivator who always had an open ear for his employees and colleagues. He takes an active and results-oriented approach to new challenges and solves them with the involvement of all stakeholders until they are actually implemented. Thanks to his experience in dealing with hierarchies and his broad range of expertise, from processes to IT and finance, he is always confident and self-assured as an audit manager.
