More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an experienced project management expert for complex industrial plant and infrastructure projects in international mechanical and plant engineering. As a manager in international corporations, he has successfully managed project portfolios worldwide with a budget of up to one billion euros. He has in-depth expertise in the planning and execution of major global projects, coupled with intercultural competence on all continents.
The entrepreneurial project management executive has been working as an independent consultant and interim manager since 2017. During this time, he has advised an international corporation on the creation of a project management manual and successfully initiated the turnaround of a plant engineering business unit. He is also a lecturer in project controlling.
After completing his twelve years of service as an officer in the German Armed Forces, during which he studied mechanical engineering at Helmut Schmidt University, the interim manager has been working in international plant engineering for more than 30 years. He was responsible for the planning and construction of industrial plants worldwide, such as a sulphuric acid plant in Australia, an ore processing plant in Brazil and a zinc smelter in Thailand - initially as a project manager, then very quickly as a manager in an international plant construction group, including as commercial manager and head of tender preparation and order processing. During this time, he successfully implemented the company's ambitious growth strategy and at the same time significantly improved the earnings situation. He subsequently held top management positions at other well-known plant engineering companies, where he was responsible for optimizing project management structures, processes and tools as well as the strategic development of business activities.
The interim manager pursues a cooperative management style. He creates an appreciative corporate culture with a fear-free atmosphere that enables a transparent analysis of the project situation, on the basis of which solutions can be developed jointly, i.e. with the involvement of all relevant stakeholders, to correct deviations from the plan at an early stage.
