More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an internationally experienced financial expert. His clients benefit from his special combination of skills as a Finance Executive (CFO) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) as well as his many years of experience at a large Swiss cantonal bank. Due to his background, the interim manager views companies primarily through the lens of an investor and is very good at meeting the expectations of shareholders and other interest groups. With his portfolio, the expert is predestined for consulting projects and mandates with investors (private equity, board of directors) as well as for operational roles as interim CFO in companies, for example in crisis situations, during realignments or post-merger integrations.
In his most recent mandate (until September 2023), the expert made a significant contribution as interim CFO on behalf of an investor to leading a large Swiss rehabilitation clinic out of a liquidity crisis that threatened its existence. In operational terms, he optimized numerous financial processes and supported the introduction of an ERP system. On the strategic side, he worked with the board to develop a resilient financial strategy that secured the clinic's financing for the coming years.
Banking, investment consulting and private equity expertise
Before becoming an independent interim manager, the expert was most recently Chief Investment Officer Equity and Real Estate and Head of Sustainable Investments at the largest cantonal bank in French-speaking Switzerland. Prior to that, he worked as a senior analyst and portfolio manager at a large Swiss investment consultancy and at a large Swiss PE investment company. Clients also benefit from his certifications as a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT). He also has extensive expertise in the areas of governance and compliance (ESG, SRI) as well as CSR.
Based on his systemic training, the interim manager knows that problems are often not due to specific causes, but to working methods that have worked for a long time but are now no longer suitable. And he knows how to use the existing organization to develop new ways of working and solve difficulties.
The interim manager is a strong team player. True to the motto "It's quicker to work alone than together", he enjoys working in committees from the board of directors to the executive board as well as in teams, uses existing strengths and is perfectly capable of admitting that he sometimes only knows some of the answers.
