More about the interim manager

The interim manager is an internationally experienced expert in cost engineering and supplier management. He focuses in particular on setting up cost engineering processes to permanently reduce costs, the efficient and rapid implementation of international localization requirements and raw material and component management, including obsolescence management. Supplemented by his auditing experience, he is familiar with the classic problems of securing supply, is a strong driver of preventive supplier management and benchmarking to stabilize internal production and development processes.

Food production (Heristo Group) and the automotive industry (Daimler AG, international subsidiaries and consulting) are some of his professional stations. The focus was always on costs in the magic triangle between purchasing, development and the customer. He always looks at the requirements from the client's perspective. Nevertheless, he always critically questions the technical requirements of development or production in order to open up new potential for purchasing. Thanks to this holistic approach to product and process optimization, the interim manager has achieved cost reductions of up to 50 percent in numerous projects.

These results are only possible if you open up the internal cost structures of your purchased parts and internal processes through your own (target) calculation. According to the interim manager, this is the only way to find the levers, questions and approaches to optimize costs and products in a targeted manner.

By the way, the same method of cost calculation can be used to easily calculate CO2 emissions and measure improvements in sustainability - something that is currently (still) little known.

The interim manager has set up numerous cost engineering departments in companies and demonstrated their self-financing through coached pilot projects. In doing so, he also opens up his resilient network of experts to his clients.

The interim manager brings a very broad range of international industry and company experience to the projects: from project management to leadership at various hierarchical levels. In the projects, the exchange with colleagues is very important to him. In addition to coaching the individual organizations, he considers demonstrating the effectiveness of measures and restructuring to be the most important element for successful implementation.
