The interim manager supports Japanese companies with their market entry in Germany and helps German companies with their Asian activities. His core competence lies in the areas of further development and realignment of subsidiaries including post-merger integration, turnaround and restructuring, implementation of target-oriented sales activities as well as business development including the opening of new business areas and regions. He specializes in private equity companies and family-run, medium-sized companies in the mechanical engineering and industrial technology sectors. The interim manager takes on the operational management of temporary mandates, but is also available for consulting projects.

The interim manager has been working for or in cooperation with Asian companies for more than 35 years. He studied in Australia and then lived in Asia for over 23 years, including 13 years in Japan and nine years in Singapore. As part of his responsibilities, he has traveled extensively throughout the Asian market.

For ten years, he has worked as a freelance interim manager and consultant with a focus on APAC. In one of his most recent mandates, he restructured a manufacturing company in Singapore and was responsible for its realignment. He then introduced a strategically important product group in Japan and expanded the dealer and service network. He conceptualized the market entry in Germany for a Japanese company and then managed an expansion project on a global level for a German mechanical engineering company with a focus on APAC and Japan in particular.

In his many years of international activity, the interim manager has acquired in-depth knowledge in the management of manufacturing companies in the field of mechanical engineering and industrial technology. As a certified project manager (IPMA, B Level, Senior) and Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt), he is very familiar with common management methods.

He has a strong technical understanding, is interculturally competent and is able to lead and motivate people of different characters, levels and cultures, work efficiently with them and promote a uniform corporate culture in a targeted manner.
