The interim manager is an expert in cost reduction and the optimization of purchasing organizations in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. In particular, he is adept at efficiently and cost-effectively aligning complex international procurement programs and creating sustainable supplier relationships for mutual benefit. The interim manager has repeatedly made significant contributions to results by restructuring purchasing organizations and supply chains.
In his most recent mandate as interim purchasing manager at a Tier 1 automotive supplier (2023), he significantly reduced costs by significantly improving bottleneck management and supplier selection - and thus reliability and on-time delivery. At a wholesaler in the construction sector, he was able to significantly reduce procurement costs, among other things by automating recurring tasks and eliminating bottlenecks such as material shortages and delayed deliveries. The digitalization of procurement reduced manual activities and increased process transparency. In another project (early 2022), the interim manager put an end to costly production interruptions and delivery delays at a machine manufacturer by stabilizing and realigning the supply chain.
Many years of experience in the automotive industry and procurement consulting
Before becoming self-employed (2023), the interim manager held positions including senior manager at a consulting agency specializing in procurement optimization (Kloepfel Consulting) and procurement manager at medium-sized automotive supplier Waldaschaff Automotive. Other important professional positions include Program Purchasing Manager at NORMA Group Holding and Strategic Buyer for Electronic Components at Emerson Process Management.
These positions have given him extensive experience in international project work and intercultural skills, which - along with his network in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries - he is happy to put to good use for his clients. He is fluent in French and English.
