More about the interim manager

The interim manager is an internationally experienced business executive for the introduction of new products and services in the life sciences sector. In particular, he is an expert in the market launch, sales and marketing of specialty pharmaceuticals and biotechnological products. He is also well versed in innovations in the field of rare diseases (orphan diseases). Another focus of his work is digital health offerings.

In his most recent projects, for example, the interim manager developed the global go-to-market strategy for a digital health start-up. Prior to that, he managed the Europe-wide launch of an orphan drug for a biotech company.

The interim manager has repeatedly successfully managed market entries for international companies in Europe, particularly in Germany and Spain, as Marketing and Sales Director, Managing Director, Chief Commercial Officer or Head of Europe. His clients benefit above all from the interim manager's extensive experience in the introduction of specialty pharmaceuticals and orphan drugs.

Knows sales and marketing for pharmaceutical and life sciences products down to the last detail

The interim manager knows marketing and sales activities in the particularly sensitive pharmaceutical and health sector down to the last detail from his own experience in many contexts. He has in-depth knowledge of the CNS, neurology, wound care and rare diseases product areas. It goes without saying that he is familiar with the framework conditions of AMNOG, the Therapeutic Products Advertising Act and the EU Health Claims Regulation, as well as with working with regulatory authorities in the EU, Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Belgium.

It is important to the interim manager to "bring together" a wide variety of perspectives in order to realize the best possible solutions. On the one hand, he sees himself as a "facilitator" who promotes cross-divisional and cross-functional cooperation. On the other hand, he sees himself as a specialist for marketing and sales tasks. Six years in Spain, numerous project assignments lasting several months in Europe and very good knowledge of North America enable the interim manager to develop global marketing and sales strategies and also implement them internationally. In particular, he has experience throughout Europe with detailed knowledge of the DACH region and Spain.

His extensive experience both in individual indications and with a wide variety of cultures, whether in companies or many countries, enables him to build trusting relationships with all those involved and strengthen the team as a whole.

At the end of the day, it is the people in a company who achieve success. Empowering them, motivating them and preparing them for their new tasks are the core concerns of the interim manager. He places particular emphasis on ensuring a continuous transition from planning without interrupting other processes after his assignment by sharing his expertise with teams and managers. His social skills acquired over many years make him an excellent team player.
