More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in managing strategic transformation projects in an international environment. He brings in-depth expertise in the digitalization of business models, organizations and processes. He has a broad range of experience from projects in an international context - from technology/IT to industry. His intercultural expertise includes more than six years of experience abroad in Japan: he speaks the language fluently and is very familiar with Japan's unique business culture.
In his most recent mandate (2023/2024), the interim manager supported the due diligence phase of an M&A project in the energy sector and developed the post-merger integration concept for the subsequent implementation. Prior to that (2022/2023), he redesigned the quality assurance strategy (QA strategy) for the global e-commerce platforms of one of the world's largest car manufacturers. At a Swiss software and cloud solutions provider (2021/2022), he led the post-merger integration after an acquisition and was responsible for the technical, operational and legal merger of the subsidiaries in 13 markets in Eastern Europe and Latin America. At a leading international commercial vehicle manufacturer in Japan (2019), he realigned the digitalization strategy and identified savings and revenue potential in the high single-digit million euro range.
Extensive consulting experience and Japan expertise
The expert has been working as an interim manager and consultant since 2015. During this time, he has held several mandates in Asia. In Japan, for example, as Chief Digital Officer for the Otto Group, he was responsible for the digital transformation of the subsidiaries there. Before becoming self-employed, he was responsible for evaluating new business models and managing various reorganization and carve-out projects in the M&A environment at Deutsche Telekom's Digital Media division. Prior to this, the business psychologist spent years building up the consulting business at Infinita Inc. in Tokyo and advised international clients such as IBM, Orange, Swisscom and the Danish government in the field of digital innovation.
With more than two decades of experience in management consulting and in management positions in the corporate environment, the interim manager combines strategic vision and analytical strength with reliability and speed in implementation. His international experience from project assignments and team leadership in Europe, Asia and Latin America make him the ideal candidate for mandates that require intercultural competence and diplomatic skills.
The interim manager offers - also against the background of his training as a business psychologist - special communication skills. They are able to tell the story of the desired changes in such a way that the project appeals to both the mind and the heart. In this way, he is able to quickly build resilient relationships with people at all organizational levels, inspire them and achieve joint success.
