More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in business development in China. One focus is on commercial cost reductions - from the supply chain, purchasing and supplier development to maintenance and logistics. Thanks to his extensive experience with international OEMs (BMW, GM) and suppliers, the interim manager is also an expert in lean and cost-effective production. His portfolio is rounded off by extensive sales expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Chinese market and the intercultural challenges typical of the country. With this combination of skills, the interim manager is the ideal choice to lead financially ailing companies back on the road to success and create sustainable growth. The interim manager finds and utilizes the opportunities offered by the Chinese and Asian markets.
The interim manager can look back on 40 years of automotive experience. His mandates range from classic general management to executive consulting for transformations in the supply chain and quality management. Since 2013, he has worked as a general manager and consultant in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering and environmental technology.
In recent years, for example, the interim manager has converted the electric motor production at the Chinese subsidiary of an Italian OEM to lean manufacturing, introduced an MES system and a maintenance department and built up the supply chain. As a result, he improved the operating result by USD 300 thousand per month. As interim purchasing manager for a Tier 1 supplier, he reorganized the non-production area and modernized the logistics area. In another mandate, as General Manager, he was able to rebuild the sales team within a very short space of time and generate important large orders that allowed the previously ailing company to pick up speed again.
The interim manager has extensive TPS/TMS methodological expertise and is very experienced in supplier management. He can also successfully demonstrate his sales expertise and negotiating skills.
In addition to his methodological confidence and diversity along the value chain, the interim manager is characterized in particular by his leadership qualities. With strong intercultural skills and authentic leadership at eye level, he succeeds in motivating the teams entrusted to him. He attaches particular importance to preparing teams and managers as a coach and mentor for the time after the mandate. The interim manager invests in continuous learning on a daily basis and passes this knowledge on to his clients' teams. In this way, he ensures the sustainable success of his mandates.
