More about the interim manager
Developing companies, driving them forward and making them successful: That is the agenda of the internationally experienced business executive. His focus is on restructuring and reorganization as CEO, CRO or chief representative as well as business development and optimization along the entire value chain.
As a prudent problem solver, the interim manager thinks strategically and takes an operational approach. The bigger the challenge, the more he is in his element. He is also happy to take on responsibility for bridging the C-level, also in conjunction with successor coaching.
One of his unique selling points is his extensive international experience. Long-term positions in Russia, China and the USA as well as projects in Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, India and Australia have familiarized him with a variety of business environments and corporate cultures and shaped his multicultural expertise.
The interim manager has worked in responsible management positions as CEO, managing director and in other C-level roles and has served on executive and supervisory boards for many years. With his technical and methodological expertise and experience from industry, major international corporations and family-run SMEs, the interim manager has a fully packed, tried-and-tested toolbox. This includes degrees in engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Finance for Executives (INSEAD) and training as a board member at the University of St. Gallen. Certificates for project management (PRINCE2), as a restructuring and reorganization consultant (IFUS Institute/SRH University Heidelberg), Expert for Insolvency Management at the EURO-FH in Hamburg and many other further training courses (employee management, conflict management and communication, lean management, Kepner-Tregoe analyses) are further highlights of his qualifications. He is also involved in the German Interim Management Association (DDIM) in the Restructuring & Reorganization specialist group.
The interim manager speaks the language of all employees from store floor to top floor, from works council and trade unions to supervisory board and shareholders to banks and authorities. His strong communication skills and intercultural competence set him apart. He thinks outside the box and always keeps sustainable corporate success in focus.
After more than 30 years in permanent positions, he immediately gained a successful foothold in self-employment in 2018. In challenging interim mandates, he was appointed as Chief Sales Officer and with special restructuring tasks at Putzmeister Holding/SANY Europe; at Trützschler Nonwoven & Man Made Fibers as Managing Director with the aim of sustainable restructuring; and as a mentor and coach at the start-up Everlean.
His expertise lies in the areas of corporate and management management, restructuring and reorganization, sales and business development, marketing strategy and product marketing, operations, project management, process optimization, corporate governance & structure. He is happy to pass on his experience from successful mergers and acquisitions as well as post-merger integrations in the USA and Europe.
The team stands for sustainable corporate success. As a strong leader with a transformational management style, he sets the direction and pace, picks up the employees and sets out on the path to the goal together with them. His credo: everyone pulls together - together to success.
He has retained this credo from his professional background in mining. This includes cohesion and shared success in particular: involving, motivating and inspiring employees and teams. Employee communication, motivation and conflict management are therefore very important to him.
Thanks to his demeanor and the way he communicates, he reaches people and gets teams to give their best. He inspires enthusiasm for the shared goals.
As a modern leader, he knows how to be successful - as an authentic, straightforward and transparent partner for everyone in the company. His principle is both simple and demanding: recognize tasks, take responsibility, show competence. By "demanding and encouraging" and using diplomatic skills, he achieves the desired project or mandate success together.
