More about the interim manager
As an executive in industry and consulting companies, the interim manager has a 25-year track record in the management and further development of organizations in various industries and turnover sizes, from medium-sized companies to corporations. He has successfully completed around 30 value enhancement projects in Germany and abroad. The spectrum of tasks ranged from holistic restructuring to cost reduction programmes at locations, realignments of operational business models and footprint optimizations to functional excellence programmes in the supply chain as well as global purchasing optimizations (processes, structures, costs).
The interim manager designs transformations with "brain, heart and hand". He combines broad methodological know-how and sharp analytical skills as a former top management consultant with sure-footed implementation and an eye for the essentials from his time as an industry manager. The balance of fact-based analysis, close involvement of managers and, where appropriate, employees in the concept development process and a special focus on implementation with an emphasis on change management and communication has been the ideal path to successful transformations for him for many years. He sees himself as a source of inspiration, driver and coach for managers and employees in concept development and implementation.
He is also happy to take on an active leadership role if this is necessary and desired. For example, in his purchasing optimization projects, he acted as negotiator in more than 150 purchasing negotiations in Europe and America as part of global purchasing optimizations. Here, he benefited from his confident and integrative communication as well as his in-depth knowledge of conducting negotiations.
The interim manager also has excellent presentation and moderation skills. As a moderator and initiator, he has personally led many high-profile (international) events with board members and executives in various industries as part of major transformation projects.
Board members and managing directors value him as an entrepreneurial mind and sparring partner with a "pull to the goal". "The bottom line is what counts": This motto of his work is based on his conviction that changes must ultimately be reflected positively in the business results. He therefore pays particular attention to the P&L-effective implementation of the solution concepts. He ensures the necessary transparency through so-called "project power rooms" and hardness logic when measuring success. Where possible and desirable, he achieves speed through concept and implementation sprints.
He is fearless in difficult and challenging situations of upheaval and always finds future-oriented and practicable solutions. He has the courage to question the status quo for the benefit of the company's future viability and, if necessary, to develop it further with sure-footed steps. The interim manager involves the key decision-makers throughout the entire process on an equal footing and informs the affected employees promptly and transparently.
