More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in setting up, developing and transforming purchasing organizations. Another focus of his mandates are cost reduction projects along the entire value chain. His maxim is to sustainably increase the independence and ability to act of his clients and, for example, to minimize risks in the supply chain.
In one of his most recent mandates in 2023, the expert optimized the reporting system and KPI-based reporting for international supplier monitoring as an interim manager for supply chain management at a leading German manufacturer of cruise ships and developed concepts for optimizing project controlling and supplier management. in 2022, as Interim Purchasing Manager, he made a significant contribution to the successful completion of extremely critical construction work as part of a factory expansion in Romania for a leading German manufacturer of lightweight components for the automotive industry. Also in 2022, the interim manager developed 30 product group strategies for routing services and underground cable systems for one of the major German transmission system operators.
Realizes high savings potential in procurement using special AI tools
Another focus of his mandates are cost-cutting projects - regardless of whether they involve procurement, inventory or process costs. The interim manager often uses state-of-the-art IT to identify and apply potential levers. By using special AI tools, he can regularly realize high savings potential in the procurement of construction parts (e.g. sheet metal parts, turned and milled parts, welded assemblies). With the help of a geo-tool, for example, he analyzed the customer's sales area in one project and developed a production network and logistics concept based on this. The result represented the optimized interaction of procurement, production and logistics costs.
From his numerous projects with mostly medium-sized companies with up to 5,000 employees, the interim manager can demonstrate recurring and verifiable successes amounting to several million euros. He is a specialist in very quickly identifying the key levers for economic success and successfully turning them around.
The interim manager gets to the bottom of the causes instead of prescribing "painkillers". He does this successfully time and again by first creating transparency about the current situation and then, together with the responsible stakeholders, deriving strategies and concepts for implementation.
