More about the interim manager
The interim manager and management consultant is a versatile executive for operational and strategic controlling. His focus is on the optimization of profitability, investment calculations and the design of cost and performance accounting. He has repeatedly contributed to successfully leading companies out of crisis situations (reorganization, insolvency) and assisting with restructurings (carve-outs). With a combination of controlling expertise and a keen understanding of production and supply chain processes, he identifies the value creation potential that secures his clients' earnings and growth in the long term. The Allgäu-based expert is looking for mandates as an interim controlling manager, consultant or project manager in a wider regional environment.
Until 2024, the interim manager worked on several mandates for an internationally operating German group in the specialty chemicals sector (15 billion euros turnover/33,000 employees). In one of these mandates (2023), he supported the establishment of two group companies (carve-outs) by preparing auditable HGB financial statements and ensuring complex special cases such as the correct formation and transfer of pension provisions. Prior to this, the interim manager acquired in-depth detailed knowledge of the energy market (electricity) when he adapted the reporting system of group companies to new guidelines issued by the Federal Network Agency. In this mandate, he was also responsible for managing the general ledger for two of the five divisions of the largest group company (nine billion euros turnover/15,000 employees), various management reports and supporting several carve-outs.
Analysis of large and complex data structures and outstanding SAP expertise
The business administration graduate has been self-employed as an interim manager and management consultant since 2014. Before joining the specialty chemicals group, he worked in the automotive industry, including for a manufacturer of brake systems, several tire manufacturers and a tire wholesaler. In Switzerland, he optimized sales controlling and the customer- and product-specific calculation of contribution margins (SAP-CO-PA) at a manufacturer of graphic papers.
Before becoming self-employed, he held leading roles in controlling and accounting at international corporations and SMEs, most recently as commercial manager at a manufacturer of films for the food industry.
Clients and teams attest to the interim manager's particularly strong analytical skills: with outstanding SAP expertise, he knows how to find potential for optimizing profitability in particularly large and complex data structures.
With his empathetic and appreciative communication style, the interim manager quickly gains the necessary trust - among managers, in teams and in contact with other stakeholders and service providers. He is always tough on facts, figures and data - but always with a friendly smile.
