More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an expert in the management of complex and challenging controlling projects. His previous mandates range from large start-ups to medium-sized companies and global corporations. The internationally experienced business graduate specializes in the automotive industry as well as mechanical and plant engineering. The expert is usually mandated as head of controlling or in an advisory capacity.
In one of his most recent mandates, the interim manager supported an international market leader in the textile pulp and fiber industry (2.5 billion euros turnover, 8,300 employees) as a consultant. As part of a target operating model, he expanded and optimized the processes and organizational structure in the controlling department of a global network with locations in twelve countries. Previously, as Interim Director Controlling Europe/Asia, he was responsible for the further development of controlling processes at an international development partner in the automotive industry (two billion euros in sales, 8,000 employees).
In an earlier project, he brought the global controlling of another company in the automotive industry (EUR 0.9 billion turnover, 6,000 employees, 52 locations in 25 companies worldwide) up to international standards. Prior to that, he built up the controlling for a group of companies with six individual companies in the USA, Canada and Germany at a long-established Solingen-based company (100 million euros turnover, 500 employees).
Clients attest to his vision beyond pure controlling
Clients repeatedly attest to the interim manager's ability to go far beyond the traditional role of a controlling executive. With his holistic view of controlling and process optimization along the entire value chain, he makes a significant contribution to mastering even complex challenges. He is also a sought-after sparring partner for CFOs and CEOs, as well as for COOs, CTOs, PMOs and other management roles.
The controlling expert has been working as an interim manager and consultant since 2018. Before becoming self-employed, he worked for leading companies in the automotive industry and in mechanical and plant engineering, most recently as Group Director Controlling at Aixtron.
In his mandates, he always attaches great importance to actively involving the individual stakeholders of his clients, such as managers and decision-makers, in addition to the actual controlling organizations. "If the operational and strategic management tools are well prepared and implemented, this is the key to success."
