More about the interim manager

The interim manager is an expert with a strong international focus who takes on management tasks in the pharmaceutical, medical technology and life sciences sectors. He combines many years of experience as managing director of European country organizations in the research-based pharmaceutical industry with extensive expertise as a marketing expert and the scientific background of a biochemist with a doctorate. A particular focus of his activities are growth initiatives (internationalization), digital transformation, crisis management (turnaround) and product innovations - from R&D to market launch. The interim manager takes on mandates as CEO, CCO or managing director as well as marketing executive. Another field of activity is strategic M&A consulting in the context of acquisitions.

The expert has been active as an interim manager and consultant in the healthcare business since 2022. In his most recent mandate (2023), he managed the marketing of a German pharmaceutical company. Prior to that, he rebuilt a European country organization of a medium-sized pharmaceutical company for his employer as Managing Director, successfully implemented the digital transformation and thus doubled the profitability of the organization. As Managing Director UK and Ireland, he previously achieved a lasting turnaround of the ailing organization by focusing on marketing, sales and market access.

Successful international projects from turnaround to growth

In addition to these examples, the interim manager can point to a large number of successes in international projects. For the research-based pharmaceutical company Grünenthal, he acted as crisis manager in various turnaround projects and as Head of Marketing. In the UK, he successfully set up an independent country organization and managed it as Managing Director for more than five years. From these roles - and thanks to his work for the US global market leader Johnson & Johnson - he has an excellent network in science and business, which he is happy to put at the service of his clients.

The manager offers further added value as a demonstrably successful expert for the national and international introduction of pharmaceutical and medical products that require explanation. With his experience in the fields of medical affairs, sales, marketing and market access, he guarantees a broad approach to the successful introduction of innovations. In addition, the doctor of biochemistry has further expanded his expertise with certifications in corporate governance (INSEAD Business School, 2022) and organizational development (BDVT).
