More about the interim manager
The interim manager is an experienced automotive executive. His focus is on efficient production and cost reduction programs. As a managing director, plant, production, transformation or project manager, he takes on tasks with a focus on production (individual production, small series, large series) and the planning of complex projects. Efficiency improvement programmes, reorganizations and restructurings in Germany and abroad are further focal points.
The interim manager has been working independently since 2007 for medium-sized companies, private equity companies and internationally active Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies in the automotive industry, rail vehicle construction and manufacturing companies in various metal, plastics, wood and electrical processing sectors. In the recent past, he has worked several times as an interim managing director and plant manager in Eastern Europe. He has successfully managed units with up to 1,000 employees and a turnover of 250 million euros.
In his mandates, the interim manager brings experience from leading positions at OEMs (BMW, Daimler commercial vehicles) as well as extensive expertise with suppliers such as Webasto, Magna and others. He assumes commercial and technical responsibility for employee deployment, production output, quality, logistics, investments, product launches and is a negotiating partner for employee representatives. He has introduced group work and innovative shift models and has successfully concluded company agreements and interest settlements.
The interim manager started his career as a cost planner and value analyst at Daimler Commercial Vehicle Construction and supported planning processes for a new commercial vehicle series. At BMW, he planned various vehicle projects before taking on responsibility in a plant start-up team and organizing a plant test vehicle construction.
He later took on management responsibility as Head of Industrial Engineering and successfully implemented cost-cutting projects before restructuring a site of a transmission manufacturer in operational areas as Production Manager, implementing innovative manufacturing processes as Plant Manager in filter production and assuming responsibility for results as Technical Manager in a mechanical engineering company. In the Magna Group, he managed a production plant with 500 employees as AGM before reorganizing a previously military-run maintenance plant with almost 1,000 employees as part of a privatization and transforming it into an industrial and service company.
