After getting to know the company (an international industrial group with around 50,000 employees worldwide) as a generalist HR interim manager in the previous year, the interim manager was hired for another assignment as an interim recruiter.
The CIO had been approved for a large number of additional FTEs due to a global IT rollout and wanted them to be filled as quickly and as well as possible. The HR manager actually responsible for the area did not have sufficient capacity to take on the recruitment herself due to her own projects and the scope of the recruitment offensive.
The project was of great importance to the CIO, which was demonstrated not least by the fact that the interim manager reported directly to him and he always took part in the final selection interviews himself.
The task in this project was to organize the recruitment for Germany and coordinate the corresponding activities for the other countries (spread across all continents). Above all, it was necessary to maintain a constant overview of the status of the efforts regarding the respective positions. After a total of 10 months, the vacancies were filled to the satisfaction of everyone involved and the project was completed.
