The position of HR Service Manager at the market leader for natural cosmetics had to be filled on an interim basis due to the serious illness of the job holder. The team was very young, partly because several trainees had been taken on in the HR department. This meant that the first task for this project was to create a structure for this HR department. The next task was to organize the training of employees in their respective subject areas and to ensure appropriate personnel development.
Data administration significantly improved
In order to better meet the challenges of modern HR work, the focus was on improving processes with a particular focus on the use of modern data administration. First, a new process was developed to optimize time management. A modern interface replaced manual data entry. The modern time management process saves more than 50 percent of the time previously spent.
Another task of this project was to synchronize the payroll processes for employees in Germany and at the parent company in Switzerland. A key challenge here was to set up the processes in such a way that the requirements applicable to the respective country were met.
The mandate lasted 11 months. At the end of the interim assignment, it became apparent that the incumbent, who had fallen ill, would not be returning. The interim manager was still involved in the search for a successor.
